Christian trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he achieved a First Class Honors degree in music, specializing in electronic music. As part of his education, Christian studied music for media under Emmy Award winning composer David Gale. Christian also spent a semester abroad at Tisch School of the Arts, NYU, where he studied film and television music under Pat Irwin.

 

As part of both his education and career Christian has explored many styles of composition. From more experimental electronic pieces with Total Immersion events at the Barbican, to conventional orchestral music for media, such as an online BMW advertisement.

 

In 2015 Christian was commissioned to compose and produce the score for a new independent feature film ‘Fractured Minds’. Set in an unsettling future the score mimics the film’s themes, fusing acoustic instruments with distorted electronic processing.

 

Christian also works extensively in theatre, as both a composer and arranger. He regularly works for regional theatre company Jam Theatre and recently composed an original score for Jo Noel-Hartley’s original show ‘Spots & Stripes’.
