Christian graduated from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in 2016, where he received an MA with distinction in Musical Theatre Writing. Christian’s writing is influenced by his passion around social and political issues. He uses his training in electronic music to create distinctive sound worlds and stylised atmospheres.

 

After graduating Christian and fellow Mountview writer, Arnoud Breitbarth, produced their new two act musical entitled ‘Catch Me’ at the Arts Theatre. The piece explores issues surrounding mental health and suicide. In 2017 they then further developed the show in Amsterdam with support from Arts Council England. 

 

Christian has also written original electronic musical 'Remember, Remember' - an immersive theatrical exploration of propaganda and the manipulation of truth. The show was featured as part of MMD's inaugural Musical Bites at the Other Palace, and then went on to be workshopped in October 2017 with support from Theatre Royal Stratford East, and Norden Farm Centre for the Arts. In March 2018, 'Remember, Remember' will be showcased as part of BEAM 2018.

 

Christian is also developing other works, including an festival length adaptation of Hansel and Gretel which explores relationships and consequences, as well as an 8bit video game musical. Christian's work regularly features at cabaret events, most recently as part of 'Signal' at The Hospital Club.
